When you are working with ceramics, it isn’t until the moment a piece comes out of the kiln that you know that it is firstly what you were hoping for, and secondly whether you are pleased with it.

Being part of the Limited Edition Collection, means that each piece is unique, and therefore every time I open the kiln I am full of a mix of excitement and nerves about how they will look.

With this particular vase, I wasn’t sure right up until I loaded the kiln, whether I would actually fire it, or whether I would re-glaze it. But I am so pleased I went ahead and put it in the kiln, because I was thrilled with it when I opened the kiln. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Thrown by hand on the wheel in fine porcelain, this vase has a wonderful bellied shape with a narrow neck, and is great to display lowers from the garden. It is clear glazed inside, unglazed outside, and sanded back to a smooth finish; but with a wonderful splash of colour on the front.
